I cannot believe this is my first coffee review being that I LOVE coffee and am constantly looking for the best beans and brews. So with that being said, I am very happy this IS my first review of coffee because you might as well review the best first! And this coffee is the best, at least that I have ever tried. (And I’ve tried many)
My two favorite beans I get from Dakota’s Best Gourmet Coffees are the Black Velvet Espresso and the Highlander Grogg. I always get the whole beans and grind them fresh before each brew. The beans look and smell amazing! They have the nice oily sheen and the aroma is pure delight. The BVE beans taste much like the name describes them. Smooth and rich and dark with a hint of chocolate and smoke. The HG beans are their own unique blend of butterscotch creme and hazelnuts which results in a fantastic cup of joe. Whenever I brew this up for guests, they RAVE about it! And I do, too. Seriously good coffee.
You can also order decaf beans, biscotti and flavored syrups on their website. There are many other beans to try on there as well, and my next pick will be the Jamaican Me Crazy! I can’t wait! And if you are in Hebron, North Dakota stop in at Dark Side of the Brew cafe to grab a bag of Dakota’s Best coffee or stay for a latte and a yummy baked treat.
